b. Reduction phase II (age 4 years).
Diameter 20 cm – 25 cm to reach the 1 m3 need 3 trees. Trees harvested 1,000 x Rp 100.000 = Rp 100,000,000.
c. Overall harvest (age 5 years).
Diameter > 25 cm to reach the 1 m3 need 2 trees. Trees harvested 1,000 x Rp 300,000 = Rp 300,000,000.
Total of income in 5 years (a + b + c) = Rp 450,000,000.-
Japanese taro (Satoimo).
1 hectare can be planted with satoimo 24,000 clump.
1 clump potentially produce 1 to 4 pounds. Price of Rp 3,000 per kilo.
If calculated only 1 pound per clump, then Rp 3,000 x 24,000 kg = Rp 72,000,000,- just 6 months.
So in 5 years Taro Satoimo potentially earn Rp 72,000,000.- x 10 times the harvest = Rp 720,000,000.-
Income for 5 years Satoimo Rp 720,000,000.-
Assuming an area of 1 hectare for 5 years, estimated total of income Sengon cultivation with intercropping system with Satoimo, is: Rp 1,170,000,000.-
